Coto and the Plagues are a Los Angeles-based new-wave trio. The band is fronted by experimental bassist/vocalist Coto Loco (Black Magick Chocolate Tears, The Koreatown Oddity), with Fritz Zar (The Steady 45's, The Illusions) behind the drums and Dev Horch (Horch Records) on synthesizers.

 

Their self-titled debut emphasizes the influence of quintessential horror soundtracks from directors such as Dario Argento and John Carpenter, and adds elements of post-punk and darkwave to their archetypal blueprints.
